After making P1 Motorcar’s website, Gregory Byrd, Director of Sales and Tommy Passalacqua, Director of the Shop at P1 Motorcars got a special invitation to have the fastest car in the world at P1 Motorcars shop in Stamford, Connecticut. That car is called the Hennessey Venom GT, developed by Texas-based Hennessey Performance, the Venom GT is a 2,743-pound construction of carbon fiber, titanium and a 7-liter motor with twin turbos. The car can go from 0-60 mph in about 2.5 seconds, making it the fastest car in the world.
With its 1,000 horsepower engine, the Venom GT clocked 270.49 mph in a speed run at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Fla., beating the previous record of about 267.8 mph, held since 2010 by the Bugatti Veyron SuperSport. On Monday, P1 Motorcars closed the sale for the Venom GT, on behalf of Hennessey, to an undisclosed overseas buyer for $1.2 million.
They work with Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghinis and Mustangs, among other brands, servicing both individual vehicles and entire collections. Many of their clients are in the area; some can boast collections of 15 or 20 cars. “It’s hard to get that feeling of hair standing up on the back of your neck,” Byrd said. “270 mph is sitting right there in front of you. It’s quite spectacular.” Check out their prestigious website at P1Motorcars.com.Gregory Byrd, Hennessey Venom GT, P1 Motorcars, Tommy Passalacqua
